TT: Closer to the Edge

I watched the documentary/film "TT: closer to the edge" and was greatly inspired by seeing the passion and love that goes into motorbike racing. This film was both gripping and emotional and has made me even more positive in the fact that I want to do my designs for this industry for my anatomy project. Seeing both man and machine together is extremely invigorating. 

This film also gives you insights into the men behind the leather. One man in particular is local champion Guy Martin and after watching this film I wouldn't be surprised if he is everybody's favourite biker. I plan to do a bit more research about guy martin as seeing his passion for this sport gives me passion about my work.

Anatomy Designs...

After being inspired by the documentaries "Anatomy for Beginners" I have started drawing new organs and are starting to play about with them. Here are my starting points so far...

Gunther von Hagen- Anatomy for beginners.

As my work is focusing on the anatomy, I decided it would be both beneficial and inspirational to watch the documentaries "Anatomy for beginners". As described on the channel 4 website this is about: "Controversial anatomist Dr Gunther von Hagens and pathologist Professor John Lee explore the beauty beneath our skin in a fascinating series of anatomy classes." I think these Documentaries were really interesting and it showed the body in an extremely in depth matter. These documentaries have not only inspired me to continue with my anatomical designs but have also made me want to continue pushing my belief that the body is truly beautiful inside and out.

Motorbike Designs.

Eventually, I would like to use my anatomy designs on motorbikes and helmets. Hopefully this will be achieved using a technique such as vinyl wrapping. I have come across different solutions to how I can achieve this and I will continue looking until I find the perfect solution.

 Another way of achieving my wish to have my designs put onto a motorbike could be done using airbrushing. I came across the website http://www.joebysairbrushart.co.uk/projects15g.html

I am trying to make two different collections inspired by the anatomy, One that is "inky" with birds and one that is more "pastely".

Craig Foster.

I came across the designer Craig foster on the website http://www.illustrationweb.com/ and was inspired by his designs. He is an experienced medical illustrator who has produced visuals for Time life medical and major pharmaceutical corporations.

Inspirational wallpaper Designs.

I came across the Graham and Brown website and was instantly inspired by the beautiful wallpaper designs and patterns and this helped me in understanding layout and composition for my own designs.
